Cool Christmas Gifts!

We’ve all been there….we’re rushing around town from one appointment to the next, buying all those books our friends keep talking about, but never actually get a chance to sit down and read them. Well, there is a new trend on the horizon…listen to a book, and with the funky new Mi-Vox, a little MP3 player that is already uploaded with an audio book, you get quite a cool new gadget at the same time.

So whether you are working out in the gym, sunning yourself on holiday or simply rush around town, this is a great way to catch up on your reading! You can even learn a new language or use their new tourist guides. Prices start from £9.99 and Fern Britton was recently spotted with one (love her!).

Germaine Greer Attacks Michelle Obama’s Wardrobe

Professor of English, controversial feminist writer and ex-Celebrity Big Brother quitter Germaine Greer has penned a controversial column for The Guardian in which she dissects the red dress worn by Michelle Obama on election night.

The piece, which begins with the line ‘The one sour note to resound through the jubilation at the election of Barack Obama was an undercurrent of fear and loathing of the dress Michelle Obama wore on election night’, certainly seems to have upset Guardian readers, who have poured scorn on Greer’s words in the comments section underneath.

Mini Trendsetters

How trendy are kids today?

Macy’s have just announced that they’ll be stocking Tommy Hilfiger’s relaunched children’s line next season.

On top of that Jean Paul Gaultier is launching a line of kidswear (as shown), and Ralph Lauren has just converted his Bleecker Street women’s store into a children’s boutique.

It won’t be long before we see them on the catwalk…

Red Hot Agy in New York

Agyness Deyn, Charlize Theron and Juliette Lewis danced the night away in New York at a fashion bash last night.

We have to say, we thought Agy looked hot hot hot in her killer red stilettos with matching lipstick. Love her for that!

The Pussycat Dolls Launch Their La Senza Range

Hundreds of fans queued round the block yesterday to see The Pussycat Dolls launch their new La Senza range on London’s Oxford Street.

The “Shhh” collection is inspired by the girls burlesque-style wardrobe.

Dolls creator Robin Antin says, “The words for this collection are flirtatious, fashion and fun! Inside every woman lives a Pussycat Doll.”

How true!

Anna Wintour To Retire?

Anna Wintour

The New York Post reports that legendary Vogue matriarch Anna Wintour’s contract is set to expire and that she has been recommending people to replace her.

As well as Vogue, Wintour oversees other Conde Nast publications Fashion Rocks, Teen Vogue, and Men’s Vogue. However, perhaps as a result of the credit crunch, Fashion Rocks is currently on hiatus, while Men’s Vogue has been reduced to just two issues a year.

A source told the Post:

“She feels she’s done it all and had enough. She has been putting out feelers to intimate friends recommending a possible replacement. She’s so tired out, she just let Men’s Vogue close instead of fighting for it.”

Not one to shy away from a glam manicure, the star says, “For about the last 2 years I’ve had an addicting obsession with nail art and design. Call it ‘Ghetto-fab’ of me, but yo, I’ve seen some artists who need to have their [work] in museums.”

OK then…

Make An Entrance In Rubber

Oh go on, go and get yourself a pair of rubber leggings.

Tried & tested since the 1970s, rubber leggings are still in. Thick, thin or tight, they’re definitely right.

Be outrageous!
